"I've dealt with the big NY camera stores--you know, the ones with the multi-page ads in the photo magazines? I've never had any difficulty with places like B&H or Adorama. But I've also never had the level of personal service and contact that Berger Bros. provides. While I lived in Connecticut, I used to go into the store and actually pick up and "fondle" the gear I was buying. Now that I live in Wyoming, thats no longer possible. But talking with Lisa on the phone is almost as good. Her skills as a customer rep are unparalleled and she knows her stuff when it comes to giving advice, suggesting alternatives, etc. Lisa and the others at Berger Bros. will go the extra step to find replacement for items that may be out-of-stock and likely to be that way for a long time. Anyone who has tried to buy camera equipment from the Japanese camera manufacturers after the earthquakes in the northeast coastal areas of Japan will certainly appreciate the effort that Berger Bros. puts into locating equipment and getting it to their customers. Their shipping is prompt and reliable and I'm always kept informed at to when items are shipped. I've even had the pleasure of having Brad Berger give me a call to make sure that everything was okay with a shipment. You're not going to get that from Adorama or B&H, folks. That's not a put-down of those places because they are good and they are honest, in my experience. But the personal touch is really hard to beat and if you want that, Berger Bros. is probably your best bet. Prices are the same as the bigger stores. Service is not even comparable. As a Nikon user, I also appreciate the fact that they maintain a page on the Nikonian website for those of us who like to hang out and chat about camera equipment, new and old."
"I went looking for a hard to find Nikon lens, and Berger Brothers had it in stock. I had heard great things about Berger Brothers from various Internet sources, so decided to order through them. I dealt with both Lisa and Brad during the order process, and both were just superb.

After contacting multiple stores to get information on a camera with limited availability, it was nice to talk to Lisa M. from Berger Bros. who gave me great advice and service. I'm in a customer service industry so I know what it's like to give and receive good customer service and Lisa was one of the best. Unfortunately, there was a minor problem with the shipment, but having an actual person to contact helped rectify the problem immediately. In the world of amazon and large online retailers, getting to deal with an actual person (not outsourced) who not only seemed to enjoy working for the company but also enjoyed the products they sold was as refreshing. "Hello All - I just made another purchase, as a gift, from Lisa at Berger Bros. It seems this company just keeps getting better with their service. It's difficult to make a purchase from a USA company from my home on Guam, but the Burger Bros folks make it easy.
I believe it would be very hard to find a major camera store with better service and also very competitive prices.
"I have been a customer of the Berger Bros for many years. I have purchased mostly all of my camera equipment from then. I have attended several instruction sessions at their two stores and have always been satisfied. The last class I attended I won a prize and was told that I would be sent a Lensbaby in the mail. I forgot about it for several weeks, I already owned a Lensbaby composer and all the accessories. On day I realized I did not get my prize. I emailed the Berger Bros main email account and asked about the prize. Well, Brad Berger (the Owner) contacted the company that was supposed to forward the Lensbaby, they in-turn contacted me and In one week I had my Lensbaby which they (Berger Bros) let me exchange for another accessory that I did not have. This is a great store with reasonable, fair priced equipment,the employees are experienced, helpful people who do not try to sell you equipment that is above what you need.
