posted Feb-27-2012 “This is typically where we would look over the order and if we messed up we would apologize and offer to make things right.
However, that is not the case at all for this complaint. Orders usually ship within one business day. The customer ordered the product on 2/17 with 2 day shipping. It was shipped the same day (2/17), however the warehouse didn't make the Fedex cut off time, so Fedex didn't process it until Monday (2/20).
Fedex never counts the weekends as a shipping date, so if the package did make it to Fedex before the cut off date, it wouldn't have been delivered until Tuesday, 2/21. It was delivered on 2/22.
The customer's first complaint was that he drove "500 miles" only to find out the product wasn't delivered. We email tracking numbers within one business day once the order is shipped, so if the customer would have look at the tracking number he would have noticed it wasn't being delivered until 2/22, thus saving him a unnecessary "500 mile" trip.
The moral of this story is if we screwed up, we'll take the fault and make things right. We didn't in this case.”
