"I ordered a bracelet from PicturesOnGold and I must say that their service and end product far exceeded my expectations. I wanted something specail for mothers day and they delivered! I even had a question and called the helpline, and spoke with the very same person that was cropping the photo for my order. I have already referred another Dad to them looking for a great gift. A+. "

"I ordered a Sterling Silver pendant of my grandchildren a few months ago. I was a bit anxious about how the photo would look as I have purchased a similar pendant and it wasn't a good quality.

What a suprise when I received the heart shaped pendant! It was absolutley gorgeous, the photos were so lifelike, the quality was amazing, it glistened. I adore it, my family loves it and I even bought another- a bracelt with a heart photo.

The people in customer service were so helpful, it was so easy to order on-line and I received it very quickley.

I would tell all Moms, Grandmas, Dads, friends to order from this site. They make beautiful laser engraved photo jewelry."

"I ordered a Sterling Silver Picture Round Locket for my wife for Mother's Day. When it arrived it was tiny and looked nothing like the item online. I expected better for $130.00. I noticed that it did not come with a chain so I had to call back and order the chain. When the customer service agent answers the phone by saying "Pictures On Gold!" I should have known it would be a bad experience. I placed the order for a chain for the locket and paid extra so it would be here for Mother's Day. I was also guaranteed by the agent that it would be here on time.

After not receiving a confirmation email with shipping information I called back and was told that I would not be receiving shipping information (another red flag), but was AGAIN guaranteed that it would arrive Saturday, the day before Mother's Day. Guess what? It is Sunday, Mother's Day, and it DID NOT ARRIVE.

So let's review. I am out almost $200 for a tiny locket the size of my thumb nail and I have no chain to go with it. The quality seems cheap, like it can break at any moment. One of the pictures on the locket has quality issues.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please avoid my mistake. Read online reviews of this company before placing an order.


****UPDATE****

After having to explain to them what happened over 5 times (they must not keep records of any kind) they FINALLY sent the chain....4 days late. The quality of the chain is less than what you would find at a flea market.

Here are two follow up emails from PicturesOnGold's great customer serivice.

"You’re very underserving of our product and I request you send the locket back for a full refund plus $25 for your inconvenience."

"You’re a miserable human being. Give me a call today, I want to give you a piece of my mind. ""

"I wanted to get my girlfriend something special for Christmas. I thought a silver locket with our picture in it and our anniversary date would be special. The locket came a little scratched up on the cover and the picture inside had a yellow tint. I'm a photo tech so I know my colors. It didn't look right. I was very disappointed with it."

"When my daughter was little one year for Christmas she gave me a pendant on a bracelet that had a picture of her etched on it, it was the best gift I had ever received and 20 years later I still have it and love it. This last year my daughter made me a grandma , so when it was time for Christmas shopping I thought a wonderful gift for her would be a pendant with her baby girls picture on it. I got online and looked around and found pictures on gold. I loved the sample pendants they had online so I ordered one for my daughter. When I received the pendant it looked nothing like the samples online. They had over lightened my granddaughters face to the point that she looked unnatural and there was streaking through her face. I called and emailed the company and they told me to send it back with a note of everything I didn’t like and they would fix it. I did all those things as well as send a picture of the pendant and the original picture by email to the gentleman I spoke with. I received the replacement pendant and it looked exactly the same. I called and emailed the gentleman I had spoken with and I was completely ignored. Christmas came and went and I wasn't able to give my daughter her gift. I continued to send emails and even emailed the company at the main email address on the website. Finally mid-January a different gentleman after seeing my email and pictures contacted me and said he would take care of it personally. I asked for a refund but he said he would make a new pendant and he guaranteed I would love it. I sent him the picture and he redid the pendant for me. We talked all about the problems with the other pendant but when I received the new one it looked exactly the same. Including the streaking in the face. I sent him an email and a picture of the pendant and asked him if he would give that pendant to a family member as a gift and I haven't heard from him at all. It is now the end of February and I have no pendant still to give my daughter even though I have paid for it and although I have emailed several times I have received no answer. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years mistakes happen and things go wrong, but if you stand behind your products and are respectful of your customers they will stick with you. I will not ever order from this company again and I will let everyone I know how they treat their customers.

Update: I heard back from the company after posting my reviews. The company did redo the pendant for me as I said because it was horrible. The company never mentioned anything about sending another picture or there being anything supposedly wrong with the picture ,and used it every time, until I posted this review then it was my fault and a bad picture. They were not very nice on the phone and I will leave it at that but they did promise to send me a check. If and when I receive it I will update this review."

"I found the customer service and the quality of product here to be outstanding! My daughter's best friend was due to be married, and one week before her wedding her mother died after a battle with cancer. I wanted to do something special to commemorate both (somehow) but didn't have much time. I found this website, ordered and engraved locket with two color laser pictures inside. It was shipped in one day, but UPS didn't deliver it to the right place. I left an email message that I needed a replacement within 3 days. Never heard anything back, but a replacement was UPS Overnight RUSH sent to me to receive 2 days later at no charge. I was VERY impressed! I will look here first for everything in future. "

"I wish I would have checked with the BBB and read reviews before ordering. I ordered several items as Christmas gifts on Dec.7. I finally received items dec.24 after calling a number of times. This company does not answer the phone regularly. They have no voicemail and they do not respond to emails. To make long story short, they shipped wrong charm and it was not engraved as I had paid for. Emailed them, no response. I filed claim with BBB and was told they would be sending new one. This matter is still unresolved. Do not buy from them. In addition, the quality of merchandise is very poor. There are plenty of honest companies out there who strive to please customers. This company is not one of them. They do not deserve your business. Buyer beware!!!"

"I was very disappointed with Pictures on Gold. I placed my order on the 17 December for a non personalized locket. I live in Canada and I mistakenly didn't check the cost of duty to Canada before ordering. I did however check the cost afterwards and was told it would be very expensive, so I emailed Pictures On Gold customer service on the 18 December to cancel the order.

I received no response from them and attempted to make contact with their customer service department several further times. On the 21 December I received a Fed Ex tracking number by email, once again I emailed and also tried live chat (no response, I was being ignored!!!)

This morning 22 December I got a call from Fed Ex who informed me that Pictures on Gold had not even given my address to them correctly they actually informed me of the Duty charges and they were not as bad as we were originally told so I am expecting the item to be delivered to me tomorrow. I hope that the quality and accuracy of the order will make up for the complete lack of customer care.

I sent what I hope will be the final email I will ever have to send to them to let them know on this occasion I will be accepting the order but if it is not as described, I will be sending the locket back.

Even if the item comes and it's beautiful, I still would never use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone, they are very competent when it comes to taking the money, but as far as after sales care goes, there is none!

“I sincerely apologize about your experience. We do stats clearly that duty charges are the responsibility of the receiver and is part of your governments policy.

I can tell you that during our busiest time of year, we did not receive your response to cancel the order in a timely manner and it did ship to try and ensure you'd have your order for the Christmas holiday. We ship same day most of the time so cancellations are not easily done.

I can tell you we will take your merchandise back and give you a 100% refund along with your duty costs if you're unhappy. Please email daniel@picturesongold.com if you're interested.

I apologize again, and I truly hope that this doesn't affect our relationship int he future.”

"I ordered a custom engraved patron saint medallion. On one side I had Our Lady of Loreto and on the back I had the Canadian Air Force symbol engraved on a quarter size sterling silver medallion. I emailed asking if this was possible and Daniel got back to me immediately. I ordered the medallion on Monday and had it Wednesday, I live in Ontario, Canada. Daniel was friendly and helpful. The medallion is great, just as detailed as the photos I sent. I am very impressed with the quality and how fast the shipping was. I would definitely recommend this business to a friend and will use them again. "
