"I learned a valuable lesson here. I should have looked at the reputation of this company. I ordered a pool cover and water bags for my pool and it came fairly shortly. When the pool company came over to install the cover and winterize my pool, they found that 4 of the 12 water bags this company sent me had holes in them. One of them had a 4 inch wide hole. I asked for a refund on the defective bags since I had to purchase more bags to replace the 4 that they sent me that were not functional. The company said they do not give refunds and that I was lucky because I "may have actually caused the bags to leak" and they didn't have to do anything.
I was quite angry at this point and looked up their service record. Oops. Should have looked it up BEFORE ordering. I confronted them with their bad service record and they said, "Actually I think it's best you handle the manufacturer warranty on your own at this point. We do not have to do the warranty legwork for you."
"I attemped to order a winter cover on 8-7-2011, the order never came after 14 days. I called the company and they could not find my order and told me to order it again. Low & behold I now have duplicate orders and both charged to my card. This is their rude email to me: This is because you actually placed two orders. One on August 7th and another on the 15th. I am not sure why you are confused about the charges as you placed two orders as you are aware of.
All sales are final, so all we can recommend is you sell the cover if it is unwanted. Sorry you made a mistake and want to blame us. We did nothing wrong. We are not rude service, we just have a rude customer.

"This company is a joke. I wish that I had checked out the reviews here about this company 'PoolDeals.com'...would have saved me a lot of time and hassle and angst.
Until today, would have been more than happy to pay for the products I THOUGHT I had ordered, and was looking forward to receiving them.
However, when there was a minor glitch in the payment process found there was NO customer service phone number to be found. All I wanted to do was correct the billing PO BOX on my order, (since I have two PO Boxes,I accidentally entered the wrong one for that particular credit card)...normally an issue like this is easily handled by customer service, no big deal...but NOT these folks.
After trying repeatedly to contact customer service, (good luck finding a phone number for them,) I finally tried responding to the email from 'Charlie' informing me of the issue, and supplied the corrected information.
So after doing everything I could to figure out how to contact customer service to resolve the issue my order is now cancelled and I am banned for life from ordering from them.
Whaaa????
That was the last message from 'Charlie,' which was almost immediately followed up by cancellation of my order directly from customer service...which I had been trying to contact all day.
So save yourself some time and trouble, don't even bother with these folks.
"I would not recommend anyone to buying from them. They screwed up my shipment by sending half of the pool for a 24' pool and the other half was for a 27' pool. After finally finding a number to call them (1-800-768-1049) I spoke with Charlie (ext# 104). Apparently he is the owner of the company. I simply requested to return the pool, but he said that was not an option and since I opened the pool, he wanted to charge me a restocking fee and pay for shipping, even though they screwed up. They only thing they would do was ship out a new pool. Fine, but now I hve to wait 2 more weeks to receive it and by that time 2/3 of the summer in Wisconsin is gone. I will never buy from them again. If you do hopefully you have no problems."
Before you buy try their customer service line. They won't answer and they won't respond to your message. If you try the email customer service they will respond but all the will tell you is they don't have the answer and they will get back to you...........which they never do.
"I have used a number of different covers over the 12 years I've owned my pool. None lasted more than two seasons. I ordered the gold series partly because of the warranty as stated below. I was disappointed to receive the warranty paperwork which states the only things covered under warranty are delamination and seam failure. As everyone who has purchased a pool cover knows, these are not the issues. The bubbles breaking apart and creating a mess in the pool is the issue. Also, the additional $15 for the drainage holes are not worth it. Some assembly required means you pay for five plastic holes and you must measure, cut holes in the cover, and install yourself. I only installed this two days ago, so can't comment on the overall quality of the product
12 gauge Solar Covers are backed by a 3 year warranty. 16 gauge covers are backed by a 5 year warranty. "

"I join the list of folks who have been victimized by the practices of this company. They sent me inferior versions of 2 different pool covers I ordered which were not the same as described on the site. They have not replied to three e-mails, and there is no phone number. I even phoned the distributor/manufacturer of the pool covers, Midwest Canvas,and their customer service agent implied that they were aware of complaints about pooldeals, yet they continue to do business with them. Shameful state of afairs."
"Do not give your hand earned money to this company. This is a guy in New York that takes your money and (occasionally) sends you an inferior product than what you ordered. Do not expect to ever be able to contact anyone. When the complaints pile up he will go "out of business" and restart. What he advertises is NOT what you will receive. Unless you carefully read the label on your product you will never notice until it fails. I paid for a Waterway brand spa pump which is made by an industry leader with great customer service and a full 2 year warranty. When my pump failed 8 months after I got it, I tried to claim the Waterway warranty. HOWEVER, turns out it wasn't a Waterway pump. This was a refurbished model from an inferior company with a crappy warranty. My paperwork says it's a Waterway pump, but the label on the pump says otherwise. Calls and e-mails are not returned and my money is gone. Don't waste yours."
"The absolute WORST and most UNETHICAL company I have ever delt with. I exchanged an item and the compaany refused to give me my refund. After calling numerous times and leaving messages and emailing they finally returned my call only after I sought legal council. They claimed that they never received the item. After providing proof with the UPS tracking order they STILL refused to return it claiming the person that signed for it did not work there. After a month of playing games I put a missing package claim in with UPS I recieved a partial refund (half)a day later. They took out shipping and a restocking fee. Mind you I paid my own return shipping and this was an exchange not a return. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! "
