"Yes I had to do what was needed but...
That was understandable. Yes I had to provide all of the needed documents that only "I" could obtain. But Ken Altman my specialist then walked me through all of the necessary steps. My calls we answered and he took my situation seriously. I got my passport delivered personally to my door in the time promised!!! If you need your passport in a timely manner in order to travel, Rush MY Passport will deliver when they say!!! 100% SATISFIED!!!!!! "

"Rush my passport is a superior service if you are in need of a passport. We are an internatinal company and have used their services on numerous occasions for expedited passports. They have always exceeded our expectations. Great customer service.

"Immediately after your order you are given the following "to-do" list:

1. Fill out the passport application.
2. Print out your itinerary. (I didn't have my itinerary yet, because some airlines in the USA will not let you purchase airfare without a passport, so obviously there is a catch 22 here)
3. Go get two NEW identical passport photos which have been professionally taken. (okay so now I need to go down to the post office and get pics taken)
4. Sign the authorization letter.
5. Make 2 photocopies of your driver's license, and the DL must be over 6 months old. (again, this would be good to know for some folks BEFORE ordering)
6. Provide a state issued original or certified copy of your long form birth certificate or naturalization certificate. (now I have to order my birth certificate from my birth state, which will obviously delay this entire process substantially, especially since I no longer live in that state. Again, this would be helpful to know PRIOR to ordering)
7. Make out check for $200 to the U.S. Department of State
8. Bring original documents to a local Passport Acceptance Agent to be sealed. Make sure the government agent, such as the postal clerk, writes the applicants name, date of birth and departure date on the outside of the sealed envelope. Note: A $25.00 fee will be charged by the agency sealing your package. (another fee not mentioned in advance?)
9. Print out the fedex shipping label that RushMyPassport.com charges $50 for. (why so much!)
10. Please note that if you owe any outstanding taxes to the government, your application may be denied.

OK, so basically I have to go get my birth certificate ordered, have professional pictures taken, and go to a government office to have documents prepared and sent to rushmypassport.com.

So what exactly does RushMyPassport.com do for me? Those are all the SAME requirements for doing it yourself! I can do all of the above and go down to a passport acceptance agency myself, and file everything myself, and have my passport from the government in 2 weeks. If you need your passport in under 2 weeks, I can somewhat undertsand their charge, but I just paid them $100 to get my passport within 12 business days, and I still have to pay the government's $200 fee, so there is absolutely no advantage. Its actually more complex to use this company than just doing it yourself, since you have to go to all of the places physically either way.

UPDATE: I requested a refund by email and there was no reply. I then sent another email and they replied saying that I needed to call to cancel. When I called, they said I needed to email to cancel.

So to summarize, the email department tells you to call to cancel, and the phone department tells you to email to cancel.

And one IMPORTANT thing to note is that they have a secret 3 DAY REFUND POLICY. Yes, 3 days. And this is not mentioned anywhere on the order page. Go ahead and check for yourself.

I find their positive reviews here VERY suspicious. Don't let them fool you. They will probably reply to this review as nicely as possible, but it doesn't mean anything. Its just for show."

"Ken Altman provided excellent service to us throughout the process. He was patient, kind, highly knowledgable and quelled any fear that we would not recieve our passport in time for our cruise. We actually recieved the passport earlier than he predicted. Now we can plan the rest of our trip without this added stress.

The process to apply for passports is riddled with potholes, uncertainty, wrong turns, lists of requirements, appointments, etc. Too often we dealt with government employees who were a little on the apathetic side of customer service. Ken was always a call away to help us through when things seemed contradictory or confusing.

I loved the fact that we recieved a very clear checklist and knew what to expect all the way through to the end. Once we got past the government application process, I was delighted to recieve regular emails from RushMyPassport that informed us that we were on track. Additionally I recieved reaffirming calls on my cell to let me know when a step had been completed.

Overall, this was a fantastic service!"

"Fantastic customer service!!!! Less than 24 hour turnaround time. Sent information on Monday and had passport in hand by Wednesday. They really helped me out of a jam.Would definitely recommend their services if you are need of a passport quick."

"Very useful service. Found out on a weekend that my passport had expired for a Wednesday flight. Got a call that Sunday night from the company and an email with the details on how to get started. I fedex'ed documents that Monday, everything was processed on Tuesday, and Fedex was at my door Wednesday morning with the passport - about 3 hours to spare. Brilliant, I thought I was cooked. Rushmypassport saved my bacon. Also useful were the emails updating my status the whole time. Mr. Weiser was the associate who helped me. Company and associates come across as competent. "

"Wow...holding my brand new passport in my hand and breathing a true sigh of relief. I can't believe what amazing service this company provided. Teddy my "passport case manager" was amazing. I received updates and all of my questions were answered immediately and accurately. When companies make promises these days...you usually find yourself disappointed and having to call 800 times. I called Teddy once just to say thank you for being truly wonderful. I needed my passport in about 10 days...and have it with 3 days to spare. I thank you guys very much. Now if only I could of taken a better passport picture. LOL. Oh well that's my fault. :-) Thank you...thank you...thank you. "

Sabrina was on top of everything, even calling me to check in when it took me several days to get my checklist sent to rushmypassport. Thank you for a great customer experience.
