"I think EcomElectronics is a wonderful company, with great customer service. I had never done business with them, before, but recently I bought a battery for my Alarm from ecomElectronics,through Amazon.com. The battery was economically priced, arrived quickly, was undamaged and worked great. However, I expressed my concern about the lack of durability of the shipping container used for the battery and the potential for damage to future battery shipments to other customers in a review, on Amazon. To my surprise, ecomElectronics contacted me to address my concern immediately. Not only did they tell me they were improving their shipping methods, but offered me a full refund and let me keep the battery, for free, for my trouble. That blew my socks off! Obviously, ecomElectronics goes above and beyond what is necessary to please it's customers, and that is the hallmark of a great company with excellent customer service. "This outfit has a lot of improving to do when it come to customer service. If you are one of the customers that orders and receives their item then I'm sure you gave them five stars. Unfortunately I was one that did not get my item when expected. I ordered through eBay, opened a case with them, and I did eventually receive my order. But the process was time intensive and painful. It looks like they used Amazon as a distributor for my order and there was some breakdown in communication between them and Amazon. They kept claiming the order shipped and "the warehouse was updating tracking information." If they had just been honest and upfront it would have been better. Rather they took an evasive approach. If they had a better line of communication with their distributor it would have been better. It sounds like a major breakdown between Amazon and them caused my issue. eBay says they do a lot of successful business with them so it sounds like they get some of them right. But until they resolve their serious customer service deficit unfortunately if yours does not go right and you have to talk to them, you will eventually get your order but it will be a very painful process."
"Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Would not return phone calls or emails. Didn't have the item I originally ordered even though it showed as being in stock. Terrible. Stay away!!!
Amended: 1/31/12 Somewhat made up for poor service by upgrading the model of the laptop, offering free expedited shipping and offering a $20 credit toward next purchase. Still believe they should communicate better during the transaction rather than after."
"I ordered a Sidekick cell phone from eComElectronics. Unfortunately when it arrived, it was still locked. I then contacted their technical department for help. Initially, they had difficulty unlocking the phone and it looked like I would have to send it back for a refund. However, several hours later they called me back with the correct unlock code. I was grateful for their persistents on working this problem and keeping a customer satisfied."
