False sizing

"I waited a few weeks for my bras, which weren't cheap by the way, and when I finally got them I immediately noticed that the cups were TINY. They have them marked as a cup size larger than I ordered but they are at least four to five cup sizes smaller. Then, I read that I have to pay to return the items, when they are the one's who falsely advertise sizes. Rediculous! I will NEVER order from this company again. "

Bare Necessities is a Rip OFF.

"My wife ordered me some UGG Slippers. She ordered the same size that I wear in shoes. When the slippers arrived they were 2 to 3 sizes smaller. When I requested an exchange I was told they will charge me $6.95 for shipping. I said that their sizing is inaccurate and I wanted them to waive the fee. Apparently if I have 15 pairs of shoes in my closet that are all size 11 and one pair of slippers that are size 11 the other 15 pairs are at fault. Bare Necessities insists their sizing patterns are accurate and will not waive the fee. I suggest you choose another vendor since they have terrible customer service.

UPDATE: Afer I posted this review I decided to call Bare Necessities and advised them about my multiple negative reviews. The second customer service agent decided to reverse their policy and waive the $6.95 return shipping fee. She used the phrase "Mis Marked Size". I will wait and see if this situation resolves itself after I receive the replacement slippers and proper credits.

TERRIBLE DELIVERY! DON'T USE THIS WEBSITE!

"Ordered a MONTH ago. Had to do an exchange for size (which they charge for). Sent exchange back on 2/17. STILL Not here. Order has been delayed THREE TIMES. They use FedEx Smartpost which is basically the slowest possible way to ship something so - there you go. Tracking info reveals my parcel sitting in various cities for days at a time. Reached out to CS to get some help and they stopped responding after sending a mildly generic 1st email saying they could offer me free shipping on my next return. Not helpful at all. I would never refer anybody to this website. Order somewhere else - seriously. "

"I got my order. The only bra that matched underwear was missing. I called Bare Necessities and at first they didn't believe me. Then they said there was one left in my size and they would send it to me. I waited and waited. Then I called them, and they were out of my size, they just forgot to tell me. I'm returning the underwear and hopefully they won't charge me the 9.95 they charge you when you return things. Needless to say, I won't order anything from this overpriced and egotistic site again."

"Worst customer service ever not only did it take forever to get here but when I needed to return for different size they had nothing in same style. When I tried to order something different they said I could not use coupon because it was a different product. So I sent it back they lost part of the return and then charged me for return shipping which was supposed to be free they make it sound like they really want you to have a good fitting bra but their service says otherwise. It in total took me over a month to try on two bras I lost seven dollars and just barely got my money back but only cuz I called multiple times."

"It takes a LOT for me to write a review, especially a negative one, as I am more about praising those that do well. But I hope to save someone the experience I have had with Bare Necessities. Simply stated: HORRIFIC & HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND. Where to start...the return shipping service, the customer service reps, or the Bra fit experts which are also no experts at all. My story: I asked two different online bra fitting experts for help in getting the right size before placing an order to take advantage of a sale, what I got was two experts giving me a different size using the same exact measurements. I tried the one that made most sense and it turned out to be 2 sizes too big in the cup at least. BUT WAIT it is going to cost you $6.95 to ship just the one bra back using their prepaid provided label, and it will take over 15 days for them to receive it, and then up to 10 days to receive your refund... yet it only costs $2.09 in my case using USPS First Class Mail. Have you weighed a bra lately? About .5 ounces or less and yet they charge as if it was a basketball at $6.95. DON'T TRUST their online tracking system as it shows inaccurate information regarding your order. For example: it states my return has been processed on 2/11 and I received an email confirmation stating they received my return and issued a refund, yet I have not received any refund...and am still waiting 3 days later. I shipped the item back 2/4 and what should take 2 days from MA to NJ per USPS Customer Service is now going on 10 days and still "in transit" as their customer service reps indicate. So which is it? In transit or refunded...as I am not seeing the money at all. I honestly do not think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. If you want less hassles, ship your return back using your OWN label...it will save you TIME and MONEY. $6.95 to return 1 bra is pathetic. IN FACT save yourself the hassles, frustration, and nightmare and DON'T SHOP HERE AT ALL. Check eBay as they have better pricing without a sale.

Lastly, I have had over 4 different customer service people assist me with this simple purchase of a bra that would fit, per the experts, and only ONE showed any care in helping me and doing right by the customer, however, you rarely get the same person when you contact them for an update or status, so you have others butting in and giving you even more caos. Why you cannot work with the one customer service rep you've been working with and has been helpful is beyond me. Adding in the others WILL make your life miserable, complicated, and frustrated. I will never shop with this store again no matter how good of a sale they may have. My first and only experience with this company is an F. They do not even deserve a 2nd chance because of all the ugliness in getting a refund for 1 bra purchased in the wrong size by a "non" exert bra fitter. I am now working with Paypal to get my money back on this purchase. Again, as it is worth stating twice: SAVE yourself the hassles, frustration, and nightmares and DON'T SHOP HERE AT ALL.

"Products didn't fit. Material was cheap. (how can u claim to cater to well endowded women with cheap products). Sent it back last week on Wed and it's STILL supposedly sitting in a warehouse 5 mins away from my house. Called CS. the lady said her name was sheena. "sheena was very rude and doesnt know what shes talking about hung up on me. Tiffany (if thats her real name) said theres no one by that name at the company and I have to wait 3 THREE FREAKIN WEEKS to return the product and get a refund of the cheaply made flimsy products. i am so sorry i ever dealt with this horrible company."

"I ordered a Calvin Cline Honeysuckle Triangle Bra and matching Thong in Begonia. They arrived quickly within 5 days and in perfect condition. The Bra fit perfectly but the Thong has to be returned, I was disappointed as both online sizing chart and the fit consultant advised me to the wrong size and I like a perfect comfy fit. And I had ordered the set in time to wear to an event on this coming Sat.,. I was further distressed to see the company planned to charge me an extra $6.95 return shipping fee on a Thong no less and I had already paid $5.00 dollars for standard shipping for the Bra and Thong when I ordered them. I called the company right away and was contacted the next day/ today by email after an hour of my time was spent on the phone and email combined explaining that I was a first time customer who required customer satisfaction in order to be a returning customer which I planned to be and send in another order next week if all went well. I gave them my criteria of three points in deciding whether to be a return customer when trying a new company: That the items ordered arrive in the agreed upon time and in perfect condition; they did. That if there is a problem with the Order the Company work to resolve it and honor any reasonable request to do so by the customer, after spelling it out in detail and repeating my request as to what I needed to be a satisfied customer in writing that the Thong in the correct size be Shipped Overnight to me with no extra shipping charges to be incurred by me for the replacement Thong or the returned Thong. The Customer Service Representative assured me that the my Request for the replacement Thong would be honored sent Overnight to arrive Sat. morning in time for the event with no extra Shipping charges and with the return Shipping fee of $6.95 to be waived. Adding that the returned Thong must be received by the Company with the included shipping label within 3 weeks or I will be charged for it. I agreed stating that the Thong would go into today's mail and would arrive within 5-7 Business Days. {Note: It took an hour of my very busy life, the time I had originally alloted to be spending on my next order with the Company to achieve this.} And I closed with if all goes accordingly I will be placing my next order soon. And I plan to. Smiles."

"I received a bra/undies set from Bare Necessities as a bachelorette gift. The undies were a bit too big and the bra box contained a pair of undies too...so I sent them for an exchange.

1st problem: true exchanges can't be processed, only refunds and re-purchases. I didn't want to bother the friend who sent me the gift with having her credit card refunded and then recharged. However, I found a sweet customer service person who wanted to help me with this little wrinkle by doing the exchange manually herself.

HOWEVER, when I sent my return to customer service, c/o this woman, with a VERY CLEAR note inside of what I needed, apparently the returns team processed it as a normal return ANYWAY -- and my friend was refunded. Then there was some issue, and my exchange was never processed.

So Bare Necessities essentially stole back my friend's gift. And didn't contact me. And told me there was nothing they could do. This is 2011. How can it be so difficult to process an exchange?!?!? I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE, EVER, and neither should you.

"Disastrous. They basically stole one of the items I ordered. Bare Necessities had a promotion - buy 2, get 1 free bra. And free exchange if the size does not fit. I ordered 3 bras (nursing), and sent one of them for exchange. In a couple of weeks they sent me an email saying that this style is not available. Period. No attempt to replace or give money back. Once you say, "excuse me, how about bra?" they told me that a) they can't get me that style, b) they can't get me money back because they treated that particular bra as a free one, and they can't replace it with a different brand. All they can do, is get me another NON-NURSING bra. Which I don't need because I am a breast feeding mother. So, I bought three, but only got two items. And Bare Necessities simply stole the third one.
Horrible customer service, completely unable to resolve any issues.

"I purchased 2 bras. One of them I was not sure about the fit, but Bare Necessities advertised free return shipping to try a Chantelle bra. So I thought I had nothing to lose. Bare Necessities is not honoring their promotion!! I have emailed them a few times and their repsonse was if I used the return shipping lable I would be charged $6.95!! I asked about their no risk try a Chantelle bra promortion and have not heard back from anyone. I am reaaly disappointed!!! I thought they were a better company than that. I had told my friends good things about them, but now I have made sure my friends will never purchase from them. To not honor your own promo... VERY BAD!!!!!!"

"It was my first time shopping at this webstore and the whole experience was beyond excellence. I placed my order and about an hour later, I realize I wanted to change an item in my order for something else I found. Their customer service line was only open during certain hours, so I sent an e-mail to them instead. The next day when customer service was back on business hours, they fixed my order and sent me a confirmation that they replaced the item I had wanted to change. Usually online merchants would refuse to do this because the order was in process or some other reason, but I was able to do so with BN and I felt so appreciative. My order came and my items were protected in ziplock-type bags and wrapped in tissue paper. It was overall an excellent shopping experience. I usually complain about merchants here, but this merchant has done so wonderfully that I felt I should share compliments about them. Thanks so much BN!"

"Excellent selection and stock. Prices were reasonable. The products I ordered were shipped on time and arrived on time. The items were wrapped in nice tissue just like you see in fine boutiques.
One nice addition...they let you check the option to have gift receipts packaged with the order. That's rare for a mail-order company.
I give them the highest marks and would shop there again.
