Sells inferior parts, nearly refuses to reimburse
"It's taken well over a month to even get in contact with the right agent, and then, they refuse to reimburse parts or submit claim to the part manufacturer for the manufacturer reimbursement of labor cost accumulated installing defective parts. After a frustratingly long phone argument, I was hung up on by the "right agent" mentioned above, and all further calls were ignored and sent to voicemail. After tracking down someone with contact information for the executive team, I did manage to get a refund on the part, and an assurance that I can pay another $800 in labor replacing whichever part I now purchase (from another company, you can bet) and mail the defective parts to them. But why would I bother? They specifically told me the manufacturer refuses to reimburse that labor, even though there's a process for doing so... Unless I pay the labor myself, "or," as they were so uncaring enough to suggest "you can do it yourself. We don't care that you took it to a shop, that's not our responsibility to reimburse." All in all, BUYER BEWARE OF POOR-TO-NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS COMPANY WON'T STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL... NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT."

"PLEASE Stay away from this company. Don’t even think about buying anything from summit racing. Ordered a jacket and had to return it because it was the wrong sfi rating. I needed a sfi 3.2a/5 instead of the 3.2a/1 I ordered. So soon as I got the package I drove it right back to the post office to send it back. Figured it would take about 2-3 days because it’s shipping out of VA to Ohio. A few days go past and I call to see what’s up. Customer service reps keep offering me other jackets and I’m like no I want the summit racing multi layer jacket so shipping states that I sent it back. To find out it takes two weeks to ship a 3lb jacket maybe less. It took about 2 days to get here. I call back and demand my money back and they basically say F**** you you aren’t getting your money back.Please stay away. I will be also filing a police report and a dispute with my bank. Great Job losing a customer. "

"I tried to return a few pieces that i bought for a crate engine that I had also bought through them (2200 dollars). I needed to send back a timing chain set that happened to be wrong. They were wrong because the engine description for the crate motor i had bought had steered me in the wrong direction due to inadequate information for the product they were selling. I asked for them pay for the shipping back due to inaccurate description, they said no, it was my choice to buy said product. I said it was off of their description. Mind you I have spent close to 5k with them on the crate motor and all the other parts needed for this build, yet they wont take the hit on 10 dollar shipping. I have never had an issue with any company being so stingy over 10 bucks. Well, that 10 bucks cost them future business and engine builds down the road and im half debating returning everything due to this encounter."

"Waiting on a part. It will be 10 days that I have to wait to get my part. This is not a part on back order either. I am super **** right now. They were no help at all at Summit. Part is coming from BMR, and was shipped but it will take another week to get it here for some reason from UPS. WTF???? "

"Approximately noon on Thursday I called customer service using a couple gift cards, ordered my shocks, promised maximum two day delivery. Received email at 11:30PM that it was just processed and then at 1:30Am UPS informing me that delivery will be on Monday by end of day, upsetting! I called customer service and a man answered with an attitude telling me I should’ve requested a two day and that it’s my fault even after I made it clear I was told that it would be two days latest but he was a major **** and very rude with a NewYork accent. Horrible customer service! Spoke with a manager 8:55 am central, told me he listened to the conversation and that I was told 1-2 business days and then I asked if he heard my request for lastest Saturday delivery and of course kept going back to the 1-2 days delivery completely ignoring the fact that Thursday and Friday is considered 2 day delivery especially when I was told it was going out immediately!"

"Ordered parts for my car and my card was approved they sent me to ‘verification’ where I was put on hold forever then they gave me hassle, wanted me to send front/back of my ID and front/back of my credit card via email. When I told them I didn’t feel comfortable they sent me to their supervisor.. he was more than rude, incinuated I was a lair and told me if I didn’t like their rules then to not order from there again then hung up on me. I will never recommend them to anyone and I hope no one will give them business. "

"Horrible and rude staff. Ordered through Ebay buy it now price. They claimed they made a pricing error and I was SOL oh but have a 20 % of LAME. They further claimed that they talked to Ebay and were in the right which was a complete lie after I called and spoke with Ebay. Very disappointed in their staff and ethics. Shady shady people. "
Not a fit
" I purchased a pair of pick up truck bed rails for my late in model year 2007 GMC pick up. I was very careful in the selection of fitment. (Purchased thru eBay) Upon arrival I discovered the stake holes were badly misaligned. I asked to return them owing to their mix up. They permitted a return. Their policy was to return them at my expense, eBay intervened and I was sent a prepaid shipper. During this process, Summit sought to cancel the order, which happen, with this maneuver the customer could not provide any negative feed-back. That brings me to this forum "

MOTOR PUT TOGETHER WRONG
"BOUGHT SUMMIT MOTOR YEARS BACK AND DID NOT PUT VERY MANY MILES ON IT AND IT KEEP BURNING MORE OIL WITH EVERY USE .STARTED OUT 1 QUART IN 3500 MILES AND OVER THE YEARS 2 QUARTS IN 2500 MILES . I JUST TOOK THE MOTOR COMPLETELY APART FOUND THE RINGS WHERE IN UPSIDE DOWN AND THE OPENING IN THE RINGS WHERE ALL FACING DOWN . I PUT ABOUT 10,OOO MILES ON MOTOR AND NOW ITS TRASH . MAY HAVE TO BE BORED . THERE MOTORS ARE JUNK ."
